Title: LP Department Manager
Reports To: Store Manager (dotted line to District LP Manager)
Objective: The primary role of the LP Department Manager is to protect the people, profit and assets of URBN Europe. In addition, the expectation is that the job holder supports the goal of reducing Stock Loss by identifying and preventing theft, fraud and non-compliance and providing a safe and secure environment for our staff and customers. In addition to this this role should assist senior management with all general store operations that falls within their sphere of responsibility. Participate in building community relationships that directly reflect the Urban culture. To uphold the Urban Outfitters “Peers Teaching Peers” philosophy.
Ability to work calmly and methodically at all times, especially in stressful situations
Experience in a management role working in a fast paced, high volume fashion retail environment
Demonstrates strong operational skills
An understanding of the Urban Outfitters culture and its appeal to the local market
Reducing Stockloss by identifying persons stealing or damaging the property or assets of URBN Europe Ltd. Where appropriate, apprehend and prosecute.
Produce accurate written statements and Incident Reports, along with Civil Recovery claims where appropriate and attend Court on behalf of the Company if required.
Ensure all Loss Prevention technical equipment is working effectively and being used correctly at all times, reporting faults in a timely manner.
React to Emergency situations that may arise in store calmly and professionally and ensure all Managers and employees are fully trained and aware how to react in the event of an incident.
Support Store Management with staff, bag and locker searches as required.
Ensure all Loss Prevention and Retail Operations procedures are adhered to and feed back any concerns and non-compliance to the appropriate business partners.
Provide feedback to Store and District Management, along with Loss Prevention colleagues on current trends and opportunities.
Identify possible cases of Internal Fraud. Escalate findings and evidence to the Store Manager nad Field Loss Prevention team as appropriate.
Deliver Loss Prevention awareness training to all existing staff, and ensure every new member of the store team receives a Loss Prevention induction.
Represent URBN Europe at local Retail Crime Schemes and participate at meetings as appropriate.

Managing the Environment:
Oversee all levels of customer service by setting daily goals and expectations to create a positive store environment
Exhibit excellent floor presence by training and coaching the store team on customer service, standards, product placement and time management
Perform all store-level operational procedures accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with all Company policies and procedures
Achieve the store stock loss goals by overseeing adherence to loss prevention practices
Assist in upholding Company Health & Safety regulations at all times in order to protect employees and customers against accidents and incidents
