    We are looking for an inspirational and highly skilled Senior Recruiter who understands and has experience in Head Office recruitment.

    The preferred background is in retail recruitment and/or research at the head office or corporate level from a relevant retail consultancy business or retailer/brand. You will partner with the European Talent Manager to successfully work with the business to fill roles as quickly and efficiently as possible whilst proactively building a database and mapping out competitors organisational charts.
    You must work well on your own & with minimal direction, bring an intelligent opinion to the table and be capable of helping to implement best practices throughout this organisation. 

    Job Description

    • The Senior Recruiter will be responsible for identifying the most exceptional retail talent in the world, building and creating an extensive database of global knowledge and attracting these candidates to Urban Outfitters Inc. Europe.
    • As a critical member of this lean and high performing team, the Senior Recruiter will report to the European Talent Manger and will work closely with her to execute searches and recruitment for Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People and URBN (Shared Services) in Europe.
    • The Senior Recruiter will strategically identify competitive companies to target and will initiate and develop relationships with potential candidates.
    • Further, you will own the mid-high level recruitment directly and should be able to manage the full recruitment cycle, from job briefing...through to candidate identification...candidate sourcing....job posting...headhunting...client management and interviewing.
    • As an external facing representative of our brands in Europe this person will share a passion for the retail industry and will significantly contribute to maintaining URBN's position as one of the top retail organisations in the world.
    • Management of the candidate driven database, Adapt, will be a key part of this role; driving the team to utilize the database and looking at new reporting methods and enhancements.
    • Mapping key departments in competitors through excellent research, keeping this information up to date and flowing it through the rest of the team.
    • Bringing new business and competitor intelligence to the weekly Recruitment meetings.
    • Updating the team on weekly business trading figures across all brands.
    • Oversee all job postings with the Talent Coordinator.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • 4+ years of research and recruiting experience, ideally attained within a fast paced, high performing retail, executive search, professional services or consultancy/agency environment.
    • An outgoing engaging individual with excellent interpersonal skills; confident and assertive with a strong sense of self; positive and enthusiastic; self-motivated with high energy.
    • A conceptual and strategic thinker; well developed sense of curiosity.
    • An excellent headhunter.
    • Superb writing and communication skills; a personal, professional and engaging telephone presence; ability to quickly develop relationships and effectively represent URBN Europe.
    • Strong organisational skills; can balance a range of projects concurrently; highly effective at time management and setting priorities.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to acquire, gather and synthesize information; technology and database savvy.
    • Proactive, responsible and accountable; tenacious, result and deadline driven.
    • Demonstrated commitment to high quality work; able to anticipate problems and opportunities and provide proactive creative solutions.
    • Works well with others and is team focused.
    • A passion for the fashion retail industry and best in class talent and business practices.
    • A university degree is preferred.
    • Any European languages (French, German) would be a distinct advantage.
